SAQ® aim with this course is to increase participation and enhance the performance levels of all who engage in sport. Movement has been a key element in all our SAQ® programmes to date. We have always held the belief that If a person can be improved to move more efficiently then we lay the foundation for that person to move more competently at physical activity be it social, work or sports related.
This course demonstrates the importance of developing good fundamental movement skills during the early years, before introducing as wide a range as possible of fundamental sports skills. It also explains the importance of developing good functional movement skills as part of the process of coaching sport specific skills.
Functional competence is explained and is used as a monitoring gauge throughout the growth and maturing of the young sports person.
This course will become a leader in sport education in the English speaking world. It is accredited at Level 4 by the NCFE.
